I was enjoying my breakfast until I drank water and noticed a "whitish like blob" on the tip of the glass on the other side if where my mouth was. Ewwwww! My appetite was completely lost and I didn't eat the reminder of my breakfast. I know sometimes you need pathogens and bacteria to enjoy your food but damn son! I can understand this from a Deli but not a Corporate Eatery such as IHOP. Disgusting! Staring out the window due to the Depression of my breakfast didn't help things. I saw flies on the window and it was also smudged with grease and God only knows what that was. I remember when this place was a 5 star class IHOP as soon as it burnt down it turned to chaos.

I really do enjoy this Ihop. For some reason out of all the Ihops I have been to, this one seems to give me bigger portions of food . More bang for my buck. The waiters are nice sometimes , the food is always great. Its very clean , but very small. I feel like they should expand. For the location they are in , with so many residents, they should have a bigger space. It gets very crowded in this location during lunch time. Oh and on the weekends they have valet parking , so beware . You can choose to park on the street if you want. Since its super close to my house I would have no problems returning.

Early bird catches the valet service for their parking lot only!!! Something new they doing which is cool!! It's best to get here early because the waiting be crazy especially on Sundays!!! Today I got here early and I got seated as soon as I walked in which was super!! My waitress Valentin was very professional and friendly! The service here I see has improved!! The food came out quickly and tasty!! Street parking sims in the area!!!

Terrible service. We were told that the wait would be 15 minutes but we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated before giving up and left. Granted that the place was crowded, we stood there stareing at empty tables that simply needed to be cleaned so we can sit down. Waitresses were eating while on the floor with their hands and the chef throws recipes on to food that's about to go out to customers. As we stood there waiting, we could see dishes literally lined up and ready to go out but the staff was so slow to bring food to everyone's table. All the food was backed up and dishes were just sitting there for 15 minutes getting cold before a waitress would bring them to their table. This place was just a bad experience overall. Don't waste your time going here like we did.

You can't really go wrong with ihop but parking is limited. I usually get the chorizo omelette or the breakfast sampler . It's convenient cause it's right by where I live .

Trina, our waitress was sweet and knowledgable. The place definitely cleaned up. I don't know why is it that I get the same booth almost every time. No smelly floors or sticky table. Major plus. Diabetics beware! Do NOT try the holiday drinks. Not even my two boys were able to drink 1/3 of the little mug. I kept adding hot water to mine but gave up. Bottom line? I'll come more often.

This is a decent IHop, always crowded. Maybe a hour wait but the service is good. Its not too far from my place. The staff is really friendly, its clean too. Parking is here. I recommend this place.

Went here about an hour ago ... extremely disappointed ... place was not busy yet very dirty ... waitress was very nice ... food was atrocious to say the least ... pancakes were horrible ... eggs were completely bland ... food was cold ... I normally try to stay pretty positive, but the first thing my son said when we walked out was "wow I'm really surprised how bad that was" only reason I gave 2 stars was our waitress ... avoid at all costs :-(

Yes, it's a chain but I generally love IHop. High sodium, high sugar, high calories. What's not to love? Well, I wasn't feeling the Valley Stream location. I had an okay experience. There was just something so unclean about the this location that made me not want to eat off the plates or drink out of the mugs. But I did and I'm still here. I had the crepes. Major fail. Hubby had the steak and pancakes which he claimed he enjoyed. My (almost) 2 year old got the chicken kids meal and barely touched it. I did have a taste of hubby's pancakes and it reminded me of why I love the IHop chain. Next time I will stick to what I know and what they make best. I will return to Ihop just not this location.

Banana waffles with egg and sausage. The waffle was too "pancakey".

Remember when IHOP was actually International House of Pancakes? I do. I remember as a kid, pouring thick gobs of boysenberry, strawberry and blueberry syrup all over my pancakes. The smorgasbord of syrups, always dyed my teeth a shade of blue for at least an hour. Ah to be a kid again... After a devastating fire, this particular IHOP was closed for at least a year. Before the fire, the line trying to get into the lot on a weekend, backed up at least a block onto Sunrise Hwy. If you actually got a spot, there was always a wait. With the massive crowds, you would think the food was served on golden plates or something. So, I kind of just stopped going. Anyway, the fire gutted the place. It was a sad sight to drive past for a while, and I was happy when I saw renovations finally being made. With "grand opening" still painted on the window, we decided we were going to give it a try. The lot had a handful of spots open (around 6:45PM), which we were pleasantly surprised about. Looking at the structure, you'd never know this place was torn down and built up again from scratch. It looked exactly the same. Working with a clean canvas, wouldn't you want maybe to expand the lot or make the restaurant bigger? Inside the place was super bright and new. I never understood the dynamics of the open prep area in IHOP but it always worked. The place looked miniature inside. The last time I was in an IHOP I was probably 3ft tall, so this threw me off a bit. We were seated quickly, but within 5 minutes of being seated out waiter stood by our table waiting for our orders. We got our drinks and studied the menu for at least ten minutes. I was a little impressed at the menu. There were a lot of lower calorie and fat options called "SIMPLE & FIT." I decided on the Pot Roast Melt minus the swiss and onions. After ordering, all I thought was, "I hope he wrote that down, because those are two of my biggest offenders" (swiss and onions.) My mom went the more traditional route with the Breakfast Sampler. We also ordered a side of onion rings. Our waiter came to the table twice to question whether I wanted swiss or not. Oh no....this is going to be bad. In the interim, we had to ask for drink refills and silverware, which was then delivered by the shirt and tie wearing manager. When our orders arrived correctly I sighed a breath of relief. Ordering pot roast at IHOP, I wasn't expecting my Aunt Addie's AMAZING homemade pot roast. It was more like Steak-Um meat on a roll with melted American cheese. Well, it was really fast-foody and good! The onion rings were battered (my fav.) but pouring with grease and the fries were way undercooked. My Mom enjoyed her brinner and we were ready for the check. Overall, it was an OK dining experience. I will give it another six months before they turn right back into the old, ghetto, dirty, sticky booth-ed IHOP.

There were too many girls not wearing their hair up properly, and people making food had no hair nets on. In the end, there was hair in my pancake, literally. I had to hurl. They have people park your car like they are a first-class valet parking restaurant and those boys expect you to tip them! Well, no one asked you to park our cars! NEVER GO THERE. Their service is horrendous. Rude people.

I shouldn't feel bad for this IHOP, but I do -- and they do really well. Like most IHOPs, you can always expect a wait. We were told 5 minutes, but I knew better and it was at least 15. It was just the two of us, so we didn't need a large booth or table. The place was packed and a bit noisy; our waitress was sweet, but definitely overwhelmed. I had ordered turkey sausage with my biscuits and gravy plate, but received regular pork sausage. She corrected this and apologized. My brother's salad came out after his meal and his side of corn followed suit after that. Yes, it was hectic, disorganized, and chaotic -- but we made the best of the situation and still had a good time. It's America's best breakfast and when it was all said and done, it was a good meal.

Recently came here just for pancakes. Its a warm atmosphere inside and our waiter was friendly but the staff in general don't look like they are too qualified. The service was on the slower side but this isn't a five star restaurant so its more acceptable here. Wouldn't recommend coming here for just regular food.

This place is newly renovated. Great staff. Try the new chicken and waffles. It was pretty good. Hey!...what else can I say it's the International House of Pancakes. I always stack up on my pancakes. :-)

Came here with my family for our grandfathers birthday. My mother and grandmother ordered a Cesar Salad. Before getting it they asked the waiter if the salad was homemade. The time it took to get our appetizer (appetizer sampler) was about a 30 min wait and the place wasn't even packed. The appetizer was great. They received their salads several minutes later. The lettuce wasn't fresh and the Cesar dressing was packaged, not as the waiter had said. I ordered the Monster Burger. The burger was VERY greasy, the grease was pouring out of the sides. I was only able to eat half. I figured I would snack on the fries. The fries were okay, besides the fact there was a little pinch of seasoning in the middle of the fries. Some of the fries were overly seasoned, some had no seasoning at all. I was disappointed with the meal. The people behind us complained to the manager about their dining experience, and the manager admitted that this iHop just plain out SUCKED. How un-professional! When we got our bill, they had charged us for soup that we were not able to get because they ran out. At the counter, we confronted the cashier and asked for the manager. The manager was in her office, supposedly having a 'business conference.' She had no concern for what the problem was she simply told the cashier to give us 25% off. At this point we were happy to leave. Borderline is, this food experience was not the best, we will not be going back to this establishment.

This was the worst IHOP due to the fact that it was always ridiculously packed with cretins of society. You would think they were giving pancakes away for free the way it packed out, even occasionally causing traffic backups on Sunrise Highway! It was a sad day this past Saturday when it burnt down to the ground. Hopefully when - or if - they ever rebuild, it will be bigger so that it is better able to accommodate the mass amounts of cretins that flock here making it a noisy, unpleasant experience for all.

My other trips to this Ihop weren't stellar, they were good. The reason I am writing a good review is because of Claudia. My family is spanish and father doesn't speak too much english. It was so nice to find a waitress that was SUPER nice and patient. She was always asking if we needed anything and was super helpful. She took her time to speak to my parents and make sure they were happy with their order. I would definitely go back but I'll be calling in advance to see if Claudia can be my server. This place needs more Claudia's!

This IHOP needs a makeover...They had a bi-lingual menu which is great but it did not have calorie count and I have been monitoring my calories very closely these days. The waitress was extremely courteous and attentive. May not visit this one again unless they have a RE-Grand Opening.

40 min wait time on Easter Sunday, very crowded, tiny reception area, and hot inside... Food was excellent, service was astounding
